Hi. Can I keep a group of similis with a group of 17 kitumba cyps, one 5" calvus , four peacocks and 8 petricola cats in a 135 gallon tank? Thanks.

Which peacocks?

The petricolas are likely to raid the similis shells for fry, and a singular calvus may do the same. A paired calvus might not tend to as much.

Thanks for the response ... peacocks are all full grown and colored males and include a lemon jake, jake otter point, reubescen, and bicolor. Tank is peaceful. Would you recommend not having any shell dwellers in this set-up? Are there any other fish I can put in this tank? Thanks again.

I would not recommend having shell dwellers with the peacocks you have. They are likely to take a beating.

I've kept Lepidiolamprologus boulengeri with peacocks successfully in the past... but be warned these shellies are quite aggressive, and get relatively large compared to some of the more popular varieties.
