I have a colony of 4 male and 4 females that are breeding like crazy. There are at least 20 fry that are close too or over a half inch and a lot more under that. Will the parents slow down if I don't pull out the fry? Can the fry survive in a grow out tank without shells? Or should I get some shells? Would some rocks work to give them some cover? I'm hoping to be able to sell some of them when they get big enough.

Okay in a bare tank? Sure. But if you are trying to grow them out, give them shells, or similarly sized dark hiding places. In my experience, a bare tank will cause stress and slow their growth.
