They make poor community fish in most circumstances, unless you keep just one. They aggressively defend their fry, and in the wild will take a 2-3 meter cube territory. It seems in the aquarium they try the same thing. The results are either they crowd the rest of the fish in the top corner of the aquarium, or they get injured trying.
