I am keeping my Tang tank at a pH of about 8.4. Does anyone know what plant will work in this pH? I have N. Pulcher and would really like to plant the tank. What about substrate? Mine is crushed coral. I believe this will be ok with plants.

Thanks,
Steve

N. pulcher don't dig much and don't eat plants, which leaves the choice for plants wide open. Anubias are great for very low lighting. Java fern and Java moss need a bit more light, and Echinodorus, Cryptocoryne and Valisneria still more. All of these work in low tech setups (no CO2, no fertilizers). pH 8.4 should not be an issue.
