Hi, I'm new to cichlids and very new to the forums. I've gone through the genus guide and the profile section, but I can't really ID any of these 4 fish. I'm almost certain the one is a johanni, but then in the Profiles, I noticed there's a species that's often confused with the johanni. So I'm not sure about that one now either. Any help here would be appreciated.

The second photo is actually all the same fish, I promise. He's a bit skitish and tough to get a good photo of. He's light blue, with darker blue vertical stripes; yellow on his forehead and anal fin. Sometimes however, he's a very dark blue, with almost black vertical stripes.

The first pict is likely one of the Melanochromis species. I am leaning toward M. cyaneorhabdos (also labled maingano and electric blue johanni) though I am not 100% sure.

Number 2 lloks like a peacock species, though show that color at such a young age leads me to believe it is hormoned. It is hard to tell which species juvenile peacocks are and if it turns out to be female you may never know.

Number 3 couls be either a sunshine (drangons blood, strawberry) peacock which is a man made hybrid or a Metriaclima estherae (red zebra). It is hard to tell, because one of the most distinct thing is the head and nose shape. With the fish yawning like that it is impossible to see the true shape of the nose. Can you get a good side profile with its mouth shut?

And for tha last one, it looks like another variation on the man made peacock again. If the eyes are truly red, then it might be one of the albino peacocks, but I am not so good with those.

All the fish look healthy, however they are very skinny. Give them some good food an clean water and they should be rather pretty fish.
