This just started today. On the inside it almost looks like a cut. I've added some fungus medication just as a precaution. He's eating well and not acting any different then normally. What else can I do to treat this?

It is from rubbing on the glass. Add salt.

I actually did add salt today. Should I be adding it everyday and how much?

Don't do no more. I would do a water change 50 percent to kill the ammonia. Some melafix wouldn't hurt. It will heal without any of these though soon enough.

Do some frequent water changes, as well. Only replace the salt applicable to the amount of water you remove and replace.
