Need help fast! Holding Elongatus real sick

1411 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Gibbs
Bought 4 Elongatus today one was holding. Got her home put her in a holding net and is now looking real sick, fins clamped and a real ugly pale blue and pink.
She has already spat 5 eggs with no sigh of life in them.
Should i strip her and get her in a healthier environment

Provide all your tank info: dimensions, tankmates, when you added the sick fish, did you add anyone else recently, how long has the tank been set up, water parameters including pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.

Are the other fish eating and are there any other symptoms. I don't have much experience with sick fish, but others will need this info for when they read your post. I don't think I'd strip her and if you have a cycled hospital tank, that would be a good place. But if not then leave her where she is unless the others are bothering her.
