ok i added sand to my tank rinsed it the best i could the sand has sank back to the bottom but now my water is real milky (cloudy) and idk if i should run my filter or will it go away or what?? any and all advice is welcome!?

It is most likely dust from not cleaning enough. Let it settle then do a 50% wc then run your filters. What kind of sand did you use?

well i did a mixture of PFS and moon sand..... so its been about 3 hours since i first added the water so would it be safe to do a water change now?

Ok I was making sure you didn't use playsand. They tend to kill filters. Let is settle over night then do a vacuum with a 50% wc. Then run your filters. I suggest looking at the filters after a day so to get rid of any sand that has made it in. Make sure the impeller isn't loaded with sand or anywhere inside.
