That is my 8" Synsilbilum. Some say he's a hybrid of some sort, some say hes not, no one can give a straight answer as to what he is but i picked him up about 8 months ago at a LFS for $8 at 2" long

I am thinking that the first one is a female and that the second one is a male. Are you planning on getting these two to pair off if you indeed have a male and a female?

*** had these two for close to a year now. they are great fish and i enjoy keeping them. they leave most of the other fish alone for the most part, and i do hope they pair off, they seem to be because they are always together but *** yet to see a nest dug
