he should still just be getting used to it i think its especially hard for larger fish because my 10 inch jd took a week to even try anything. he might just be eating a little bit if hes spitting it out. he might just also be picky. my cichlids will eat a lot of different foods but the thing they really go insane for is cichlid sticks. my jds wont even come out during feeding unless its live feeders or cichlid sticks lol
my new jag wont eat?!
i recently bought a jag that is 8in long and he just wont eat is this because hes getting used to the new home or something wrong? im feeding him the hikari gold pellets their large and he takes it in his mouth and spits it out and really doesnt have any disire to try any other fish food i have. should i just give it time or what? i dont wanna just go off and get him rosie reds to eat or some kind of feeder because i dont want that to be all he eats. what should i do?

It's still settling in and the food you're feeding might not be the same brand as what it was being fed with before. If it's different it might take a few more feedings for it to get used to it.
Exactly. Don't feed him for a week then try again. You could try throwing in some ghost or brine shrimp if he still won't eat after 5 to 7 days, something live may get him interested.
alrigte thanks, ill just continue to feed my other fish thats in there and when hes ready to eat i guess he will eat haha ill also try a couple other foods too

My jag is similiar. After a week or so he should eat but it might not be what you expect (probably was used to live). I feed mine the same H brand that you're currently using but I switched to H brand Carnivore Sinking Pellets and I got a little more action from him (they seem to prefer meat lol).
