Picked this up last week - really impressed, they are such friendly fish!

No I don't remember the name they said when they sold it to me I remember Frontosa but didn't write down the other part - I just saw the image on this site and thought it looked the same but I think you are right it's not.

How easy are they to breed? Do they do well as a pair? Is this one a male?

they don't do well with pair. They do better with at least 5 fish and up. With proper tank size and clean water, they are easy to breed.
