Hi all
After more than enough reading about this I have decided to go ahead with my 2nd proper tank.
First is just a community tropical 2nd is going to be Mbuna.

120 x 60 x 60cm
And I am planning to make a rather large sump from my old tank 114 x 30 X 40cm.
I haven't yet calculated what the volume will be in the sump.

Plan stock wise is
Labidochromis caeruleus, pseudotropheus acei and demasoni
I have 3 Synodontis multipunctatus currently in my tank which I am considering moving into the new tank as fry control.

Obviously I would like groups of and although I have stock figures in my mind I would like others opinions on what they think would be suitable numbers.

Random question is also where would people buy their fish from? I don't really want to trust the likes of eBay etc.

Tank is yet to be bought but all my metal is cut ready for making the stand. :)

I don't have any vendor suggestions for the UK.

I would 15 demasoni after removing extra males, 1m:4f acei and 1m:4f yellow labs.

I would also do 5 Synodontis multipunctatus.

Hi welder
I'm from uk and I ordered fish online from Tropco, they've got some good reviews they cant deliver until early in may as couriers not delivering due to Corona virus. But bu the time you get tank and cycle it should be ok. Another site is Aquatics to your door, can't recall seeing any Acei on either site but the rest of your list are on both sites. Good luck getting sorted.

Welder where abouts in the UK are you..?
I use a breeder in Nottingham called, Midlands Malawis, they have a very nice setup and have visited them on a few occasions now and I'm sure they deliver too.

Yeah Wharf Aquatics are great too, brought a few bits and bobs off them.
A place I've found for fry tanks is Junglepets.co.uk, I've had a few off them now plus they will do custom sizes all with the glass sliders and cut outs for cables and filters ect at really good prices.
The fry tank (76x38x30cm) I picked up last time was only 65 quid.
