Ok, well I'll start off with a quick history... I got a 20 gallon tank and some cichlids by chance at the LFS, now i have a 90 gallon that i'm waiting to set up... in my 20 gallon I have 2 red zebras, among some other guys, and the female has been holding for just over 2 weeks.
I stripped her today (using the 'turkey baster' method, and got one fry. i knew there had to be more little guys in her mouth, so i gently stripped another 8 fry from her mouth using my hands. She's now in her own 10 gallon, and the fry are in another 10 gallon. I can't wait to get some pic's up on-line. Such a simple thing made me so happy LOL! :fish:

Congrats!

I felt the same way when I got my first batch.

I had separated my red zebra into a 10 gallon tank so she can incubate the eggs in peace, but she jumped out overnight and died. The next morning, I stripped the eggs out of her mouth and put them back in the tank, and a week later they hatched. I was excited.
At this point I got 3 fish in my tank holding, so im pumped up about that.
