Hey guys. I got 4 juvenile Firemouths and they all stick together, like tetras. If one goes to the other side of the tank, the other 3 follow. They all sleep in the same cave too. I didn't think this was normal Firemouth behavior.

Is this normal?

It's not unusual for them to do that when first introduced. Give them some time and they will start to do their own thing. The bigger issue your going to face is when those guys start to claim territories and pair off. 1 pair of firemouths is all that a three foot tank can handle, so at some point your going to want to get rid of the ones that don't pair . The reason is that the ones that do pair will harass the others to death if you don't remove them. Hope that helps you some

Daily water changes? I'd have to drop the hobby if I had to change water daily.
