Im separating from the army beginning of next year what is the best way to transport fish im moving back to Massachusetts where im from about 6 hours from my current location

rubbermaid tubs. try and keep as much of the filter submerged as possible. some battery powered air pumps and just get the tanks broken down last / setup first. GL in the move.

Or you can bag your fish, put the bags in a single rubbermaid tote and transport in your car. I do this now and it is really so much easier. Stop by a fish store grab some bags which im sure you can get for free, practice tying them up and boom-shakalala your good to go! Also this way your not carrying around 200lbs of water which is spilling everywhere. Fish are fine in bags for days if done properly.

I remember the days when LFS would tell people that fish will only live 30 min in a bag ... I think PetsMart still preaches this ....
