I am moving my Haps & Peacocks from their 90 gallon tank to a new 120 gallon home.

Is their any need to move the sand from the 90 as well?

Will I affect the bio-load by starting with new sand?

Your thoughts?

As long as you are moving your filters and decor etc. there is no need to move your sand over. Most of your bacteria lives in the filters and decor etc of the tank. Your sand likely has a good amount of bacteria on it but by moving the filters and decor it will multiply quick enough you probably wont see any spikes etc.

I agree. When I bought my 75G I changed the previous owner's gravel to sand with no ill effects.
