dear folks,

need your advice here

currently i am keeping "Mixed African Rift" cichlids in my 4 footer 67gal tank.

Tank dimension 4ft*1.5ft*1.5ft 67gal
Filter is 1650L/H OHF (over head filter)
substrate is coral sand 1-2 cm deep
2 coral chips bags in OHF and PH is 7.8
4 large resin rock caves
4 large plastic plants

i have the following fishes currently: most of the fishes are 2-3 inch

1) one male yellow lab - lake Malawi
2) one male blue "red shoulder" peacock - lake Malawi
3) one male zebra obeliquens - lake Victoria
4) two N.bichardi - lake Tangayika ( given by friend)
5) one sydonitis catfish - lake Tangayika
6) two Blood parrot - (i know i know...)

due to too little fish currently there are some aggression in my tank?
particularly my yellow lab and blue peacock are aggressive.

i was thinking to max it up to a total of 20-25 fishes in this 4 footer
do you think this is crazy? :-?

i was looking at more peaceful fishes
example
1) rusty
2) acei
3) borleyi
4) Steatocranus casuarius
5) Callochromis pleurospilus red flame
6) Altolamprologus calvus (Black)

can you advice what fish will be suitable to overcrowd the tank to reduce aggression?

thanks

hi DJ

what fish do u keep in your all male tank?

seems like i run into aggression problems whatever i do...
how do you aqua scape to reduce aggression?

currently i have 4 large resin rock caves about 6-7 inch deep and high for each caves.
i placed all of them clutter in the center on the tank to form a hill.
2 large plastic plants at the 2 back corner of the tank
and 2 plastic plant at the center on the hill.
this setup seems bad?

should i place the rock caves and plants at each corner of the tank instead?
and the center of the tank should be free open swimming space?

thanks
