Interested in knowing if anyone has kept M. estherae with M. auratus. I presently have 12 M. estherae in a 55 gal tank. They range from 2 inches to 3 and quarter inch.

I have M. estherae and M. aurauts in a 55g. along with alot of other species too. They do fine for me. To bad you're not closer. I need some female M. estherae lol

The mix is fine, but I personally think a 55 gallon is going to be "challenging" aquarium size to keep the auratus once they become adults.

I agree...I think there are other choices that you might be happier with long term.
