I am setting up a 135 gallon tank that is built into our living room wall. I have set up UGJ system and 2 eheim canister filters. I have a good amount of rocks and caves. I have a combination of crushed coral and cichlid sand as my substrate. Since the tank is the focal point of the room I would like to have a decent number of colorful fish that don't get to large. I really like the tangs, especially the comps, calvus and tropheus and have also thought about the dwarfs. I have been reading the forums and find that the information is very helpful but also overwhelming. Could you please give me some suggestions on what fish would be best and any recommendations on where you would purchase them. I have read that tropheus are difficult to keep and may not be appropriate with calvus and comps, so would be willing not to have them. Thanks in advance for your input.

ya the tropheus are really awesome looking. but also mbuna would work well with em also. what u wanna do if you want tropheus is to get just ONE or TWELVE, litteraly they are just that aggressive to their own species. i have boughten them in small bunches and almost always lose the smaller of the pair. anyways mbuna look great and when u have a tank that big... you really could get a lot of em so long as your filter setup is for a larger tank then u got. like if you had a 55 and u had a filter that worked for up to 80... that kinda thing. when ur working with lots of rock and lots of gallons u really can toss in a TON of awesome fish. ill try linking u some pics of my tank. itd be a great in wall centerpeice. just realize that the tropheus are not only hard to find and expensive but they are just MEAN to each other lol. more so then mbuna id say.
