I have an extra 40 gallon laying around and wanted to put together a little community. The dimensions of the tank are 48*13*16.

2 busy nose Plecos

Too many fish or just right?

I will have a sand substrate with two Limestone rock formations and an open area in the front; with some anubias attached to one of the rock formations. Black background, Stealth heater, and a leftover fluval 405 for filtration. Any thoughts?

What part of the lake are your Neolamprologus mustax from?
Do you want em to breed successfully?
If so worried the Synos will get a lot of the young.

They are Mustax Mbete. I have them with Syno Multi's right now and they breed fine. I really do not care if they continue to breed. I have already sold about 400 fry from them over the last three years.
