Is pond Matrix to big to put in a Fluval FX4 canister? My fear is that it won't stack as tightly as the regular Matrix. Seachem says that 1L/Matrix treats 100 gallons and Pond Matrix they say 1-2L/100 gallons. The extra thickness of the Pond Matrix should be much better for denitrification. Does anyone remember how much of Matrix fills a FX basket and how much Pond Matrix fills.

If it helps, 1 liter of the Matrix filled one basket of a Cascade 1500. Dimensions of the tray were 5" x 7" x 2" deep.
