My male convict started beating on the female, with fry still in the tank, so I moved her. Also I have to say this, have decided against continued breeding.

Is it possible to put the fry in a grow ou tank t, and then put a school of tiger barbs in with the male, 37 gallon tank?

If this 37 gal. tank is 3 ft. in length, then yes, a male convict as a centerpiece fish along with a school of tiger barbs (I'd recommend no more than about 5-6 full-grown tiger barbs) would be just fine.
(assuming the female and fry have been properly rehomed)

The problem with my 37 I think is that it's 30" in length, like a 20 gallon long. Will think about this and thanks.
