Bought a house not too long ago. 5 tanks in the basement. Looking into making my long cold room into fishroom. Wonder what all I would need to do to make it work so I can heat the room and save as much as I can on electricity bill same time look like I could get over time solid 30 tank 40 breeders. Anyone got links or tips on fishroom. Will be all cichlids other then the one for platty/guppy/Molly for the winter months when I bring them in from the pond
Thank

I was thinking you meant a coldwater room, maybe separate from a tropical room.
It will be a cold room, probably under the front porch, in the basement. Also called a root cellar. They are not insulated and have an open vent to the outside.
If the ceiling in the basement isn't open to run new ducts, the best way to heat it is to just take the door off and allow the warm air from the basement to enter the room.
It would have to be insulated and have the vent closed off. If it's under a concrete porch the ceiling will have to be insulated as well.
