G,day i would like to know if these three can go together in a tank if they are all juveniles. I know it's not the best to mix the africans and americans but would like to know what you think.. Will they go together in a large 4ft tank that is 4 x 1.5 x 1 foot

Hello Evo. We have a firemouth that we recently put in with male africans, because he was not aggressive enough to be in with our bigger Cental Americans (got too picked on), was a little too aggressive with our new bolivian rams, so we didnt want to get rid of him, and we tried him with the africans, and he definitely holds his own. I do not have aceis, so I do not know how they would do with the firemouth. In my opinion, if thats what you want, why not try it, if it does not work out, Im sure you can get rid of some fish. So far, our firemouth has done fine with ours. :fish:

Acei should be fine as their one of the most peacefull Mbuna.

Only concern would be the maingano's as they can be a handfull, however a firemouth is very different in appearance and type so may well get completely ignored.

yep ok well the tank will be filled with slate caves etc so it should be safe for the firemouths or acei if things get heated.
