Hi everyone, i'm new to caring for Cichlids and have a few questions regarding my established Cichlid tank and some fish behavior i'm noticing.

1. 55Gal Tank w/ 2-3 hiding places.
2. 7 x Tangerine Peacocks (Aulonacara) all about 2.5 inches
3. 1 x Bristlenose Pleco between 2.5 - 3 inches

Its very clear that there is a dominant male. He will constantly rapidly chase the other Cichlids. I'm concerned that i'm not stocked enough at 7? Could i introduce maybe 3-4 more? What would be the downside of introducing new Cichlids into a community of the 7 established Cichlids?

I currently do not see and damage to other Cichlid fins, but the pleco looks like he has taken some damage as he has a fin that is slightly torn.

Do i need to provide a couple more hiding places?

Any insight would be great. Sorry if have not provided enough information. I will list out anything you guys would need to help provide me with help.

You could add females. Probably want to have only one male though.

Or you could adjust the peacocks to have 1m:6f and add a hap species with 1m:6f as Choose something small/peaceful that matures <= 6 inches.
