I know that cichlids usually are not thought of having live plants in folks'
aquariums...

But i just placed some "grassy" type of plant growth from another tank
into my 55G cichlid tank to see how it would go...

Does anyone have plants growing well?

I have a big stand of anubias in my high-tech platned tank and it grows like a weed, so I toss the pruned pieces into my other tanks. I have at least one piece of anubias growing in every one of my African tanks. *Most* haps/peacocks/mbuna don't mess with it all that much on account of it's hard leaves and lack of requirement to be planted in the substrate. Tropheus, on the other hand will tear it up.

I have Val growing in my tank (low tech) n they never touch it.
