i have to red devils one about 5 inch and other 7 inch they haven been lippin alot and thier lips are getting pretty beat up should i be worried?

Of course, they can do serious damage to each other. How big is the tank they are in?

My Midas just bit off the lower lip of a smaller green terror living in his tank. The GT survived but it wasn't pretty. They might not look like they are doing damage to eachother but they are, I would remove one of the fish if I were you.

Definitely at least put a divider between them. I have kept Red Devil (labiatus) for over 40 years and Midas (citrenellum) for over thirty years and I can't tell you how many I have lost in a very short time trying to keep them together. I have had them spawn together many times, only to have one kill the other.

It also can be a female-female "I hate you" lipping! lol. like the picture I entered in the photo contest this month, but it just got a score of 5 :x :lol:
