Hey all,
I just got my new tank set up and i built a canopy for it. I put a shop light ballast in the canopy and I'm looking for bulbs now. I went to my LFS last night and my guy gave me 2 bulbs to try because i was not sure on the wattage recommended on the ballast. I got home and the ballast said it would take t-8 32watt bulbs...the bulbs that i got from the LFS are t-8 40watt bulbs....is this going to create a problem or is it just like a normal bulb it will be brighter than the recommended 32watts? I put then in and turned it on and it works fine. Just want to make sure i wont burn them out or start a fire or something.
THanks
