Would I have problems with a pair of larger julies and a group temp. shell in a 36" tank?

More than likely, But that would not stop me. I like just trying things out. I do though have the room to more fish if things go haywire.

Why would it not work? Just curious. I know it would be an aggressive tank.

Large juli's like to make big territory's when breeding, and a 3' tank could work, but I have had them take up 4' tanks. It's all fish personality. Just give it a try and see what happens.

How many temps are you going to keep, and are they fry, subadults or adults? I just started keeping a breeding group of temps, that i bought from a friend , and i gave them a tank for them self, i think that is best for them. Mine are breeding like it is going out of style. I would love to know the age of your temps.
