I am looking tokeep a pair alone in my 125g. I am thinking some sort of Amphilophus, Jags or ?

I have the opportunity to get some Amphilophus Amarillo locally or Ken Davis has all kinds of F1-F2's available right now. I realy like the pure trimacs, Red Devils and, and Midas he has.

Jags are an option too.

I am totaly open to suggestions. I want something colorful, Large , and full of personality :dancing:

What do you all think?

Not long ago I was considering the same question for a 4x2x2 120 gal...

My first choice was Festae, but then I decided they would do much better in a 6' tank... which you have...

My second choice was Trimacs. So I got 4 wild caughts about 6 months ago to grow out. They are darn impressive fish and I am very happy with my choice...

Either would make a good choice... as would any of the Amphilophus family...

I am considering going with the Amarillo's that have been offered to me. I have heard they stay a little smaller but I'm not sure how accurate that is. Anyone have any solid info on Amarillo's or adult pictures of these fish?

Not sure though.

Well since others are suggesting a SA, some large pikes would be nice ... but out of the ones you mentioned, I'd go pure trimacs ... sadly lacking lately due to you know whats being everywhere. A breeding pair would be nice to see.
