I just aquired a pair of curviceps. Really cool fish. My question regards temperature. They are going into a tank that contains a school of cardinal tetras. The temp is kept at 81 degrees. My heater for whatever reason has broad intervals. Meaning one notch lower and it drops to 77. The higher temp has served me well with the cardinals, versus the lower. With that said is 81 too warm for these guys? Thanks.

81F should be fine. If they are genuine curviceps. 95% of the photos I've seen of curviceps sold in the USA are actually dorsigera. So much so, that even the fish in the C-F curviceps profile are actually dorsigera.

Where I live we have pretty hot summers. On average, my tanks sit at 86F during summer, and drop down to 77 during winter. My curviceps even survived two weeks of temperatures up around 96F-102F.
