Occurs in sediment free habitat, especially the wave beaten upper part. Masimbwe Islet is very exposed to the southerly "mwera" winds. Occurs at a depth of 3 m. Feeds on algae and insects. Males are territorial and defend sites inside caves or cracks. Females are rarely seen: they remain between rocks. |
