Hi everyone,

Just returned from a week’s vacation and noticed that one of my labs may be holding? What do you guys think? :-?

Yep, she is without a doubt holding. Keep an eye on her for a few days, if she is one of the only females in the tank, you will want to consider putting her in a Maternity tank for a month or so. Read the articles on keeping fry, understand what you are going to need before she spits so you can properly care for the little guys, and if I were you I would start cycling a 10g so that you can keep the little ones in there.

Congrats!

Thanks Doane â€" I moved her last night to a maternity tank. I have 8 labs and they are now just getting to breeding age I think. This female is around 2.5 inches and was hiding out in the rocks when we returned from vacation. She wasn’t getting picked on but wanted to move her anyway. This is her first hold so I’m anxious to see how she does!

Regards,
Mike
