I know this topic is way old but its the only one that i found where the title describes my dilimea. I currently have a 240g tank w/ mostly all haps/ peacocks with the exception of 3 colbalt blues, 7 yellow labs, and 3 acei. I currently just acquired 3 Kenyi. I was wondering if they would be ok to add to the tank?

The tank has about 400 pounds of lace rock against the back wall and has open swimming space in the front. I would like to keep these guys but I have read they are very aggressive depending on what kind of setting they are in. So the question I am asking is will my haps/ peacocks be ok with these guys?

It really depends on which Haps and Peacocks you have. The M. lombardoi have the potential to be the dominant fish in the tank one day, and may cause some other fish problems. I wouldn't add them personally.

Yeah, I have really been going back n forth about should i do it or not. I have more big aggressive haps then I do peacocks, but i worry about some of the peacocks which cant handle themselves.

I probaly wont. the think that sucks the most about a big tank with alot of rockwork is catchn somethin you dont want in there (ie colbalt blues).

Since I wont be able to put these in my main display tank what is the smallest size tank that 3 @ 3" can survive in for short or long term?

I just started to get rid of my gresheski to make an all peacock tank the only one i have left is a fe male kenyi. She is still a little to aggresive for even the average peacock. You would be taking a risk.plus the kenyi are a cheap common fish, why even bother with them.they are just too mean.
