I have an 80g tank and can't stop the breeding. Years ago I bought a handful of "assorted zebras" as a first foray into Cichlids. They started breeding and I have had to give away dozens of fish multiple times to alleviate overcrowding. 30 adult fish in the tank at it's worst. At least the full tank kept the breeding to a minimum. Most recently I sold everyone but about 6 juvenile Kenyi. Well, they were happy with more space and started breeding again. Now I have at least 2 dozen new fingerlings from 4 broods! Never have so many from each brood survived.

If you're in the market for Kenyi, I have many that need a home. This is not an ad, it's a plea for help.

Get 5 Synodontis multipunctatus for fry control. If you started with assorted zebras, your "kenyi" may not be pure even if they look exactly like kenyi. Also they are an aggressive fish and not highly recommended for beginner fishkeepers with a tank less than 75G...some say a 72" tank is better for them.
