My favourite lfs currently have a number of mexican tetras, the owner keep them in a tank with some yello labs and red zebras. After searching in internet I found that the watter conditions for this fish is similar to african lakes. and my question is that can I keep them in my mbuna tank?
Is there anybody who has similar thoughts?

I had mbuna with buenos aires tetras and the tetras slowly declined and died over a year. That was the only tetra I tried.

They came from cooler waters and prefer lower PH. Mexican tetras (not the blind species) need warmer and harder water. Maybe I should check them for a few week and decide after that?
As I said in my first post My tank is 31 inches tall and my mbunas ignore the top level of it, perhaps adding tetras or another type of fish can solve this.
