I purchased four jalo reef mbuna from my LFS.... 2 of them have stayed mostly bluish purple while the other two are starting to look lighter with darker bars, are these males? Two of them were holding within a week of introducing them to my tank but I am not positive that they didn't breed with another mbuna. Does the one in the photo look like a juvenile male to you guys? The ones I know to be female are currently very dark purple after holding.

So you have one male...since they are holding. Are they in a species tank?

And three proven females because they have all held?
