I have 3 trays with 2 compartments in each tray. I used the top 2 and one middle compartment with ceramic fluval rings, and the other 3 with big als filter floss. Will this be okay? How long before I have to clean or change my media? I am also using my penguin 350 for carbon filter cartridges & bio wheels.

I also have a 305. I run it the opposite way with the floss on top so the water is polished last before leaving the canister and returning to the tank. I replace the filter floss about once a month sometimes less.
