It's Red Max brand Clear Ammonia

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v62/m ... 140030.jpg
Ingrediants Ammonium Hydroxide and Surfactant

The pictures are just to show the bottle in case some people are better at telling from visual references. If it's good how many PPM should I start teh ammonia at?

I tried earlier on my own with this because my research had led to it being ok ammonia but I may have spiked the level too high because it sat about two weeks with absolutely no change in the level which was somewhere between 4 and 8 PPM at the time. I had miscaculated the concentration of the ammonia in the bottle and will be redoing my calculations in a five gallon bucket before I retry if it is good for use. If not I'll hit Lowes tomorrow and see if they got the right stuff. Though I wanted to rip out the substrates anyways and add a new UGJ to the tank so it was a fairly transparent excuse to do so.

I also have a bottle of API Stress Zyme as well.

I cant think of brand names off-hand ,but if you are unsure give the bottle a good shake ,no bubbly foam, good to use,or read the bottle, like you did :thumb:

I'm sure there are other options but Dr. Tim sells one that you can order online. It's easy to use too because you know that one drop per gallon equals 2 ppm.
