my acei's have started to dig a little hole, and it looks to be a male(just guessing, but more color) sitting in the hole, trying to lure what looks to be the female in... if so, usually at what size does this start, cause they are probably only around 2" in length... they do this all the time, mainly in this area in pic, but i did see them do the same thing in the back corner of the tank also... let me know what you think.

I have had labs and socolofi breed at that size. The males are just starting to realize they are male and that someone else is a girl. It make take them a while to get all the parts in the correct order and orientation, but it is definitely a start.

I'll tell you what, if I had the resources to have it be that the pet/fish stores buy all of their fish from me, it still would take years for me to earn back all of the money that I have spent in their stores! I know I need new shoes and my kids need lunch money for school, but my Malawi's need more NLS and Dainichi pellets! What to do... :lol:
