I am thinking this is a female kenyi (Maylandia Lombardo I) from what I've been reading. Can anyone confirm this?

I believe she is over 2.5" she keeps losing her stripes then they come back. You can literally sit there and watch them fade then get brighter.

They do that, it is mood dependent. Mine seem to get darker when they are upset. My male will be almost pure yellow until another fish gets him riled, then the black bars appear.
