Hi all
It's been years since my last fishless cycle, so just wanted to make sure I am doing it correctly and progressing as expected.

I started my 100 gallon fishless cycle 11 days ago. Temp is at 82, ph 6.7.
I seeded with some filter pad from my existing tank.

I start dosing with ammonia to 5ppm and dosed every night since 11 days ago.
As of this morning, the ammonia is at 3ppm, nitrite is purple, not sure 2ppm or the higher one. Nitrate is 5ppm.

My questions are
1. Am I doing it right and progressing at the correct direction?
2. So I be just continue to dose to 5ppm every night til there is no longer ammonia and nitrite?
3. I remember the last time I did fishless cycle, it took more than 5 weeks and it can take up to 8 weeks. Should I just don't bother checking and keep dosing and check maybe two weeks later? Running out of test liquid soon since I have been testing everyday so far.

My intention is stocking the tank full with peacocks ranging from 2 inch to 5 inch, so need to build up a very large population of bacteria to support them.

Thank you in advance for your help.
