So I'm reading different stuff, and I came up with that question. I don't know if I'm being dumb and the answer is obvious, but... say you have two canister filters, and you want to use an inline heater. Do you have one on one canister, or do you have one on both?

As I said, this may be a stupid question, but I really don't know. xD Thanks for looking.

Also I would think only one of the 2 canisters would need a heater. As long as that heater is sized to the tank and does the job there is no need to put a heater on the other canister IMO, if thats what your asking.

I have 2 canisters and 1 inline heater. It works great.
