What would be the better tank for larger cichlids such as Fryeri and
Fuelleborni, a [L]6x[W]1.5x[H]2 or a [L]5x[W]2x[H]2?

actually the 5ft tank will offer a greater bottom area than the 6ft but i think longer tanks always look better and offer much actual swimming space

The longer tank allows more distance and isolation between territories. Better to be 6 feet apart than 5 feet apart.

The wider tanks put more males side by side allowing just that many more opportunities for neighborly spats.

+1 6 ft.

if you were going to go the 5 ft route if it was anything like the one i moved i would have said good luck. I picked one up for my brothers store a week ago.. weighed probably near 500 lbs. The glass was an inch thick! Getting it out of a narrow basement wasnt easy.

This is in contrast to the newer 6ft i moved the day before. It was maybe 180-200 lbs at most.
