Do female venustus have the same color pattern the male does?

Agreed, some type of old Victoria Hap, best before date since passed.

the cichlid guys on my other forums arnt chimeing in either... there is a pic on this forums front screen that pops up ever once and a while that looks just like my fish but like it could be a male and mine a female its bright redish color with longer tail fins but it doesnt say ne where the name of the fish

You may need him colored up to ID and sounds like members think he is too old to color up.

That fish above is not even close to the same, other than being a cichlid.

Also since the experts think it is a Victorian (and some experts did respond) why not post your video in the Victorian forum and see if one of the members that hang out there have an idea.

i kno its a vic hap... im saying body wise its the same shape as that fish in the pic... i dint mean it looks exactly like the fish in the pic

astatotilapia calliptera to me...it is from malawi...looks like a victorian but is not from the lake.
