I think that I have ick in my tank. I noticed that my Venestus has some sand like speckles on his body and fins. My water temp has not changed and all chem tests look good. I had ick once before in a small tank. I put a "blue" medicine in the tank, however the ick was to far gone spread when I added the medicine.

Is there any other type of medicine I can put in the tank without turning the water blue?

the ick article linked below goes into great detail on how to treat ick. Please check it out and if you have more questions post back.

Personally I prefer the heat and salt approach to ick. Directions for treating with heat and salt are in the article.

The only other thing I'll add is that doing some extra partial water changes will help lower the over all numbers of the parasite in your tank. Siphon the gravel, too.
