120 gallons, 1 baby Oscar, 1 Senegal Bichir.

What all else would you add? I was thinking about a common Pleco, a Jack Dempsey, and idk what else!

I have never owned one before, so I don't know how to stock these very well with large fish :/ Any advice is welcome!

Look at it as if the fish were full grown. Plecos get big and a poop way too much for me. If you were going to do oscars and Dempseys you might want to get a lot of sight breaks, dither fish are a must and when you add new aggressive cichlids re arrange the tank to help establish a pecking order. Good luck

I figure this is a 6ft tank. Green terrors, convicts, fire mouths, Texas cichlid. I think you can add a breeding couple of convicts, a green terror or 2, and a couple firemouths. I would put the green terror in over the Texas since the Texas resembles the Jack dempsey when they are mature. I would add them very soon so they grow with your Oscar. Just split up the territories but also leave a large swimming space between them. Than you can add a couple cat fish of you choice I like pictus for their activity and don't get very big.

Ya, no pleco. I think Plecos look amazing when full grown and stuff, but not for my tank now. Synodontis are definitely on my no-no list. I hate the look of them for some reason! And I think since bichirs are a little territorial, a synodontis wouldn't be a great option.

So that leaves me with:
-1 Oscar
-1 JD (hopefully an Electric Blue)
-1 Senegal Bichir

I will take my best guess and say that is a little over 50% stocked?

So what else would I add? No more bottom fish. And no pairs (I am not interested in breeding).
A Convict and A Firemouth would look cool I guess. But that doesn't leave any dithers...Everyone says Silver Dollars, but I think they are pretty ugly, and kinda dumb looking :/ Maybe suggest some other dithers? Tiger Barbs would look really cool! But at only 3 inches, I think they could be possible oscar food later on :/

Tiger barbs might work due to the shape of their body but I herd danio were good personaly I don't use dither cuz the ones that work don't appeal to me currently I have a congo eel an oscar a jd and a catfish (not sure the breed not picus thoug) in my 125 and surprisingly without dithers or and caves at all still no agression yet and the oscar+jd are both at 8in+

Fish is all trial and error tiger barbs might work might not they're cheapish so id give it a go

-1 Oscar
-1 Green Terror
-1 Senegal Bichir
-and a school of clown barbs

Thanks! I wish another cichlid would work, but I can't do two of the same, for risk of a pair, and a JD or jag will be fighting with the ones I have now!
pics will come as soon as I get the tank. I saw it on craigslist. The only fish I actually have already is my oscar ha. I will put all the other juvenilles with my oscar in a 55 soon.

Actually I might add one of those "high fin plecos" to the tank! That would be awesome!
