So, I bought these cheap $5 "assorted" African cichlids from a store not recommended by most, because they looked unique, had an interesting pattern/color and I also had a gift card and just wanted to get a non-breeding community going.
I'm also a beginner at fish-keeping as you might have guessed, but now I'm trying to find what they could be. Any guesses of what kind of hybrid these are?

Thanks,

Ross

The second is Labidochromis joanjohnsonae, exasperatus is a junior synonym. First one is, as suggested, likely a hybrid of indeterminable origin.

The first is most like M. callainos Pearly White type, which are natural but you never know about vague mass market fish, so don't assume as a pure fish. Treat like a Callainos "Zebra" type.

Second as said is the often exasperatingly confusing many named Joanjohnsonae. If male will just turn light blue and lose the cool pattern.
