how long before they get color?

I just got a group of juvie kitumba cyprichromis, bigger ones are maybe close to 2inches. about what size do they start to color up? what do the keepers recommend for food?

I believe around 3 inches. But I haven't kept this type of cyp.

Any Kitumba keepers out there?
