I just got a used fish tank and the person had a diy backround and took it off and the silcone is still there i took it off but theres a smudge of the silcone anyone know how to take this smudge off i tried vinegar didnt work please helpp i got this tank for free

if the silicone isnt near the silicone that holds the tank together then you can remove it with a razor blade

i tried the razor blade the smudge doesnt come off

If the razor blade isnt working then it isnt silicone, maybe the glass is scratched.

Its not silicone its probably the glue from the sticker that came on the tank. Put some zippo fluid on a rag and wipe it off. It was probably just smearing around with just a blade. If that doesnt work soak the smear with the zippo fluid, then scrape it with the blade, then wipe it off. Problem should be solved.
